What’s a network? And other fucking drivel

In today’s class, of computer security for noobs, we have a professor teaching us important things such as servers, routers, clients, etc

Professor cleverly got us to describe what people see on Google’s and Bing’s homepage. Then, she told us that without a doubt, people like and use Google more.

Types of network

  • VLAN
    • Professor very briefly mentioned this. Says we’ll learn it in a more advanced class, implying that this class class of CS majors isn’t smart enough to learn about Bluetooth connections.
  • PAN

  • LAN
    • Small
  • WAN
    • Bigger
  • Internet
    • wtf?
    • Lots of small networks connected to larger network

The last part of the class professor drew all the computers and IoT devices that are connected to the home network and how it connects to the ISP (Utilizing, switches, APs, WAPs, and modems ofc).

So very wise of the professor.
